| Strong black designs applied freely on a variegated turquoise glaze raise this 19th century Chinese utility jar to folk art level. Provincial drawings of a willow and bird and simple calligraphy are sketched within three separate frames around the side, with three geometric designs in corresponding areas around the top. The rim and interior of the jar are glazed in dark black/brown. The jar is in excellent condition with no scratches, cracks or chips. Dimensions: height 12" (30 cm), diameter 8" (20 cm). | ||||||||
