| A glaze in a gorgeous shade of green with random streaks of blue/green elevates this late 19th century storage jar from its original utilitarian status to folk art. Stopping about an inch from the bottom of the jar, the heavy glaze drips down over the dark pottery in some areas, adding to the look of spontaneity. The glaze has the usual small inconsistencies of coverage found in provincial wares of this type. The condition of this piece is very good.
